Called Out Of Darkness throws the story of Valin, Mertyl and Zewip into top gear.



As the rebels of Thame City fight to throw off the oppression of their alien overlords, Valin and his friends listen to Elha as he describes a different way to find freedom. But very soon Valin has to decide whether he will do his own thing or follow the way of his new master, who saved his life.



Mertyl is convinced that she must stay with Elha and not return to Telarine Squadron. But she, too, is caught up in a storm of events which throws her together with Swayling, the girl who was until recently one of Drokstrak's child-assassins. Can she stay true to her commitment to Elha?



Meanwhile, Valin is accelerating towards a confrontation with the enemy. He becomes convinced that the only way to defeat Drokstrak is through the ancient technologies of the Elder Worlds which the Telarine Squadron uses. And there is another old tale: the Enkuhos. Could this be the key to Drokstrak's defeat? Or is it just a children's story?



Follow Valin's struggles and travels as he faces up to the challenge: Is he really the one who can overthrow Drokstrak and his powerful armies? Or is there a better way?
