Middle-aged and becoming increasingly aware of her teenage son's independence, single mom Helen Longstreet schedules a week's stay-cation from her job as an RN at a local surgery center to relax and enjoy the simple uncomplicated life she has carefully constructed for herself and Dylan in seaside Cape May County, NJ. But fate has other plans. An unfortunate encounter with a seemingly harmless piece of paper plunges Helen into the investigation of a murder that happened ten years earlier. Following a twisted trail of clues, Helen takes a light-hearted look into the nooks and crevices of Cape May's historic Victorian homes. With a little help from a colorful cast of family and friends Helen is pushed far beyond the boundaries of her very narrow comfort zone.
