The year is 2098 and war in North America is at its height. The military has revolutionized warfare with their super soldiers known as Units. Taken from their families as infants, Units are taught to feel no pain or emotion. Their only mission; follow orders and shoot to kill. The rebellion has been fighting for the freedom and rights of Units for forty years. There have been countless casualties on both sides, but neither is prepared to back down. Clara and Connor Tucker, two siblings born into the resistance, along with their good friend Percy Mueller venture onto the war-torn battlefield during a ceasefire to bury the dead. Clara finds an injured and dying Unit who asks for her help and mercy of his own accord; something that should be impossible for a Unit to do. Together, Clara, Connor and Percy nurse him back to health and teach him how to be human. Their mission; to save mankind and humanity.
