Today he credits the significant growth and laser focus he has in life to the journey which he courageously took on in writing this book. Having served as a missionary and as a seminary trained pastor in a mainline denomination, pastor Burgin served in several countries. As he lived in different countries he saw how his mind was expanding through his involvement in the cultural make up of those places. However, he came to his senses when he realized that he was more a product of the traditions and the Religious Tradition in which he was raised, than he was a divinely directed follower of the Truths that guide a self-actualized life.
