We hope you enjoy reading the family stories as much as we enjoyed listening to them. Our grandfather, Bill, grew-up on Oak Island. His grandfather George told him many stories that he had heard from his grandfather, Daniel McGinnis. While compiling these family stories, I began dreaming about what life was like for these early settlers. In the morning I would wake up to a new page having been written for the "Oak Island Life."
