This is the second Then and Now book by Phyllis Recca covering 38 historic properties and popular sites in the Chadds Ford area. A group of prominent families helped establish Chadds Ford, including the Brintons, Gilpins and Painters. Several of the Painter family farms are included along with the restored 1704 residence of William Brinton. Nearby at Dilworthtown, Dilworth's Inn, a blacksmith and a general store are featured.
