A high school field trip to Italy for linguistic classes had been planned for a year. A lot of hard work earning money and preparing the students created anticipation and excitement for everyone participating. What was not expected was the revenge that was left over from a school kidnapping that had involved some of these same students when they were in middle school. Now, three years later, underlying the tours in Milan and Venice was a growing concern that something was not quite right about this trip despite all the planning and preparation.
