The purpose of Joseph Story's Commentaries on the Constitution of the United States of America is to review where the nation began as colonies, and then hear another voice bring up the issues they considered, and the powers, and possible tyrannies, they believed could destroy the nation, if not properly checked in our new government: a democratic-republic. The main focus of this part will be the Commentaries, as we continue to look at it's authoratative voice on the Constitution's origins, meaning and how it should be interpreted. We will continue with the Powers of Congress and move forward as we follow the path outlined in the Constitution of the United States of America, and push through to the Volume Three, where we will see presented the remainder of the Powers of Congress and the Prohibitions on the States. In Patriot's Bookshelf Book Five, we continue studying the Constitution of the united States of America. We follow along as a long-lived political masterpiece is broken down piece by piece in "Joseph Story's Commentaries on the Constitution of the United States of America" while continuing to be presented as chapters for easier reading. In Part Four we will conclude Joseph Story's Commentaries by finishing the review of the Constitution, from the Executive branch through the Ammendments. I hope we all may enjoy the journey of discovery and the unflinching reminder of what this nation's birth was truly about!
