Clifford Howard wrote "Graphology" in 1905 - a book which has fallen into the Public Domain. The sub-title of his book promises, "How to read character from handwriting. With full explanation of the science, and many examples fully analysed." Howard delivered on his promise in ways that many books about graphology and personality have not. Howard's "Index to Personal Characteristics" provides an entertaining but highly informative window into the ways in which character and handwriting are linked. Careful study of his analyses should convince most readers that the ways in which a writer creates his or her letters and pages are reflective of his or her character.
