Eileen Babineaux wants nothing more than to attend pool parties and dances during the summer of 1942. Instead, she has to spend it on her grandfather's oyster boat while her mother works and her father is shipped out to war in the Pacific. What's worse? A hurricane threatening the small town of Port Pomme d'or! Eileen's grandfather needs to get his boat to safety before the storm strikes, but can he do it on his own?
