In the third book "The Impressions" by Luba Kanchan the reader gets the most complete picture of the inner world of the author, her honest reaction on the most valuable events of the real life in the Soviet Union. "I lived in this time. I breathe this air." Her diary (1981-1987) reflects one of the most important periods in the life of the country - the so-called Perestroika (reconstruction). Gorbachev's era starts with facilitation of the exit and the entry to the country, and ends with the collapse of the Soviet Union. The detective like story about the performance of the play "Suicide" by Nikolay ERDMAN told by the author in this book is a typical example of some democratic changes in power regime during the "perestroika."
