Libby Newman enjoys a conventional, uncomplicated life as a successful small-town insurance agent. She has a devoted, hardworking staff, a varied and sometimes challenging clientele, and is regarded as one of the top young businesswomen in the area. The demands of the job leave her little time to dwell on her personal life, or the lack thereof. Then, one bright Monday morning, Libby's largest client makes an unprecedented visit to her office to arrange insurance for a lavishly remodeled condominium, as well as an expensive, custom-designed ruby pendant. For Libby, this is business as usual. Little does she know that this visit will set in motion a chain of events that will involve a murder, challenges to the stability of her business, and the frightening realization that her own life is in danger.
