In Batesville, Mississippi at Calvary Baptist Church, Kirby and Ruby are getting married. Their love story began in the fourth grade. Twelve years later their life as one begins. Two years later, their son, Bud, is born. Within a few hours they are told that he is born blind. Their commitment to giving him the best life possible will not wavier.
