Translating the Book of Abraham
Travis Wayne Goodsell
Much debate has existed concerning the Book of Abraham, scripture for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. There is much argument over Joseph Smith's translations. If Joseph cannot translate the Book of Abraham then how could he translate the Book of Mormon, the keystone scripture for The Church? Travis Wayne Goodsell goes over the different types of translation Joseph used. One type is to use the explanations of the facsimiles guide the text. The other type is to correct the errors in the Biblical account of Abraham. Joseph's manner of translation is a tactic employed by ancient scribes and confirms he is a true translator.
