Amy a Brinkley

A Glimpse of Blind Faith Amy a Brinkley

A Glimpse of Blind Faith This Thanksgiving is no different than any other Thanksgiving except that before this day is over Amy's only clear recollection will be one of excruciating pain. Upon waking up in ICU hooked up to a ventilator her only thoughts are "why did I have to wake up at all?" All of the willpower in the world could not save her from the demons that were threatening to catch up with her in every unwanted breath she took. The obsession to flee from the pain at any and all cost had long since spiraled out of control prior to this collision with hospital staff. The pivotal life changing moment when she was officially going to have to choose "life" or "death" was rapidly approaching. Addiction, divorce, and prison were enough for her already fragile mental state but then her mother dies unexpectedly and she is left to begin making the funeral arrangements by herself. Amy found herself all alone with some life changing decisions to make and in the face of so much adversity in such a short period of time it would be a miracle if she finds the strength and discernment to make the right ones. With the demons from within rapidly gaining ground she is consumed with thoughts of how to save her children when she couldn't even save herself. Adultery? Divorce? Overdoses? Suicide? Addiction? Armed Robbery? 14 year prison conviction? Here is a true story on how Amy's faith collided with her worst fears in the age old battle of good and evil and as her faith was put to the test time and time again the only question is will her faith and convictions save her family and if not what happens then
