The first manned mission to Mars is facing problems. The ship's air renewal system will become inoperative before the return window opens and there is no chance that any rescue vessel can reach them in time to save their lives. But only the upland areas have been explored by the dozens of robot vehicles sent from our planet. So maybe some of the deeper canyons will reveal something unexpected. Scientists will scoff at this book. But if the reader is a sociologist, language student, feminist, freemason or advertising executive it might be worth turning a few pages....
