What if the man in the White House has no right to be there? The first Hispanic President of the United States is young, popular & charismatic. When he is critically injured, the 25th Amendment is invoked to declare that the Vice President, who is his political rival, is Acting President. As the President slowly recovers from his injuries, two journalists come into possession of information that indicates he was not born within the United States. When this information is made public, it results in questions about the President's legitimacy and causes turmoil within the government and throughout the nation. Even as the President resumes his office, he must contend with continuing questions of his legitimacy. And as time moves forward, the President's mental state becomes more and more fragile, and the journalists discover that the information they uncovered, and many of the people around them, are not what they seem.
