Publisher Marketing: What would you be able to do in four seconds? Tie your shoes? Unwrap a present? Walk across a room? Could you live a lifetime in four seconds? Reading this sentence at a comfortable pace should take just about four seconds. As an athlete I had accomplished so much in my lifetime. Having reached my forties I was able to accomplish what was one of the pinnacle moments of my athletic career and I began to look back on that quest of reaching the Boston Marathon. I began to compare how that accomplishment stacked up against other accomplishments in my life. It was fun reflecting back on what I deemed to be my "signature" moments, some of which dated back to my formative years. For a brief moment in time I was at the top of the sporting universe; a Boston Marathoner. I had seized the opportunity to capitalize on a short window of time in my life to train hard and accomplish something that I could carry with me for the rest of my life and something nobody would ever be able to take away from me. Four Seconds from Boston looks at the journey that took me to the top of the mountain. Along the way there were many trials and tribulations but in the end what followed was a path to self-discovery unlike anything else in my life. What will you do with your next four seconds?
