Artemis, Goddess of the Hunt and daughter of Zeus, lives deep within the woods with her fellow Nymph companions, and all was well in the forest. However, the months of peace suddenly disappear. Food becomes scarce in the once abundant woodland and winter begins to show signs of arrival. When things don't seem to be able to get any worse, they do. Strange creatures have been spotted in the forest, and what little food is found, completely disappears. Artemis knows if she can't find food soon, she and her camp would starve. On a stormy night, a strange little girl is found in the woods. She doesn't say a word, but carries an unsettling mark on her arm. Soon a second visitor is found and this one claims to know a location of a patch of Winter Flowers which could save her entire camp. This could be the break Artemis has been waiting for. But what else is hiding in the woods? And what else does it have in mind for Artemis?
