Sierra Reitar is cursed with parents who love to hike and camp. For their summer vacation, her parents bring Levi, her nine-year old brother, and her on a family vacation to Isle Royale National Park. As soon as the family arrives on the island, two hikers vanish from their campsite. Local residents believe the legendary Windigos caused their disappearance. As Sierra and her family help search for the lost hikers, Sierra learns that the mystery is not really about the Windigos and not everyone on the island is there to enjoy the wilderness. Of course none of the adults in this rescue mission stand a chance of figuring this out without Sierra.
