Paige Mathews, along with her loving husband and two sons, lived a picturesque life in the Midwest but in a tragic twist of fate, she is left trying to find her way after being widowed. For anyone who has lost a spouse, Paige takes you through the all too familiar feelings following that loss. Fueled by the desire to make life as normal as possible for her sons, Paige puts her own needs behind theirs until they are young adults. After months of her friend trying to persuade Paige to date, she is finally convinced it is time. Paige finds herself thinking she could actually still find happiness but fate intercedes and is once again alone. Without her knowledge Paige is entered into a contest and wins. She finds herself attending the Academy Awards with best actor nominee, John Taylor, of whom Paige is his biggest fan. After returning home from Los Angeles, Paige decides to take control of her life. She quits her job and finds herself in a new career as a costume designer for a major motion picture. She spends many months on location in Europe and upon returning home decides to sell her home and move to the family farm, a place she has always found refuge. Once there, Paige feels at peace for the first time since her husband's death. But in another twist of fate Paige may find her life turning again.
