Publisher Marketing: The following fictional story is a possible future, if people continue to stay complacent and don't recognize the current trends of inalienable rights slowly being stripped away. In this story it's 2041. The water supply has completely dried up from Texas to the west coast, except for Alaska. Property values for Californian homes, once the highest priced and most prized in the nation, plummeted to nothing. Many people died from the drought, thus martial law ensued. Free energy solutions are squashed by the corporate run government. Computers have become so efficient, that most people are unemployed unless they work for the government. People are split into two main groups: the government and corporate drones who only exist to support themselves at the expense of everyone else; and self-sufficient Americans who are surviving because they have learned to escape the brainwashing of the system and live "off the grid." The government has grown so intrusive that Child Protective Services is kidnapping teenagers who refuse chemo, and forcing it upon them. A new Blood Type C has arisen that many children are born with. It is an evolutionary human adaption to cope with environmental change. It came about from the human body's amazing ability to adjust to a chemically toxic environment, heavy metal vaccines, GMOs, and electromagnetic waves in the air. This new resilient blood type emerged to become resistant to these new challenges. This incredible new adaption provides never before seen supernatural powers to "see" things as they really are. This means sight is no longer just a reflection of light on the back of the retina to produce an image for the brain to interpret. This "X-Ray vision" allows the person to see everyone as they really are, not just who they say they are. Every single transgression, or act of kindness for that matter, can be viewed in one glance into the soul.. Nothing can be hidden from this new breed of children Contributor Bio:  Brown, Susanna Susanna Brown started writing science fiction with her first publication in May 1999 of Exodus, included in Shards: An Anthology of Short Stories by Women Writers (DLSIJ Press).
