There are also short yoga sequences at the end of each book to assist children into self-modulating through yoga and meditation. The chakras are a fun way to teach kids about the internal emotional part of us. Each chakra has a specific meaning and is responsible for a specific characteristic within us. Chakra literally means "spinning disk or wheel." The seven major chakras align with our spinal cord, and it is interesting to note that the spinal cord is essential to life as it contains the beginning pathways of all our nerves and connects our brain to the rest of our body. It is quite literally our energy channel. The seven main chakras each have a purpose along that lifeline.
