The author is a recipient of a Rose Sweepstakes Award, a freelance floral designer/artist, and an engineer. She enjoys working with flowers since introduced to floral design by her mother and has been honored with many floral design achievements. She is a proud mother of a daughter and a son, who both appreciate and enjoy pursuing creative, interesting, and varied projects. She has a niece and nephew who also love artistic and musical pursuits. Her parents, brother, and sister are always supportive and part of her close family; and she has over twenty-two first cousins.
