Teresa Crawford Sikes lives in Tuscaloosa, Alabama with her husband, John H. Sikes, Jr. John is a Vietnam veteran and served with the 101st Airborne Division from April of 1966 to April of 1967. He returned to the 82nd Airborne Division in North Carolina. She and John have two daughters, Deidra Lynn Sikes, and Ashley D. Moore and five grandchildren. Their oldest grandchild, Taylor Austin Cain went to be with his Savior on July 21, 2015. He was twenty-one years old and loved by all. His sisters are Hailey Madison Cain and Madilyn Rose Cain. Her other two grandchildren are Amanda Grace Daugherty and Joshua Patrick Daugherty. Teresa is a member of Circlewood Baptist Church. Her pastor is Dr. Herbert Thomas and has always been by her side during her trials and tribulations. His wife, Virginia, is not only Dr. Thomas' wife but a friend and comforter to all. Life has been a challenge for Teresa, but she has learned through her trials that life is unfair, but God is good. Teresa's hobbies are writing, reading, singing, dancing, spending time with family and friends, volunteering, and spoiling her grandchildren. She was graduated from Holt High School in Tuscaloosa Alabama, received a Stenography degree from Shelton State Technical Institute, and retired from the University of Alabama, Civil and Environmental Engineering Department. She is an avid Alabama Football fan and Rolls with the Tide, Sweet Home Alabama.
