My name is Jeremy Gant and I am a heart transplant survivor. As you read this book, you are going to get a firsthand look at everything I went through in my fight back to life. And when I say everything, I mean everything. A lot of people have great stories to tell, but they leave out their true feelings and what really went on. When I was in the hospital, I had no idea what was ahead of me. I felt as if I was a blind man being led by a rope. This is one of the reasons I wrote this book. I wanted to give people an exact look at what it's like to have gone through what I went through. I want survivors to know exactly what's ahead of them-and that they're not alone. I also want everyone to know what goes on both physically and mentally inside a survivor's mind. But that's not all. The second and most important reason I wrote this book came from a higher power. I believe I was given another chance to change people's lives and bring them closer to God through my story. Without Him, there is no way I would be here today. Once people see what a big a role God played in my life, maybe they will see the role He is already playing in theirs. If I can change just one person's life and bring them closer to God, it will all be worth it. Some of the things you are going to read might be shocking, but I want people to know the truth.
