How do you lose an entire planet?

The Giant Robot Planetary Competition gives out one assignment a year to locate and move a planet into the competition zone. The crew of the S. S. Acid Rat have gotten that assignment and have misplaced the planet they're towing.

Things go from bad to worse once they rediscover the planet after drifting thought B. T. Justice's system and must hide on the planet's surface.

And then below its surface.
