Beings is a series of picture books about felt-sense, definition and mediation. This is the fourth volume. The book only follows the previous volume, esoterically and in style. The book contains automatic drawings, or doodling, put into non-repeating images, characters that morph the modes of background impulses, instincts, feelings and intruding thoughts. The drawings are influenced by atmosphere, but also equations of history. They are the author?s percipience, an adding up of raw feelings that look for an allowed narrative that consensual reality blocks, due to fashion restrictions and social politics. This volume?s pictures and captions are in the sequence of which they appeared in sketch books, without cognitive awareness, a surprise to the author?s understanding. Emotional and social challenges create the non-fiction of this adult narrative. This art is about expression, it is about being. It is in the moment. It is authentic. It is about going with what looks like a mistake and finding the essential truth. A veil has been lifted in making these books, that has long been suppressing art and the seemingly intangible realm of feelings.
