In all scientific, sociological, cultural and psychological aspects of life, we no longer express ourselves as our forebears did even a hundred years ago. Yet we are compelled to believe in a God with concepts that have remained unchanged since the middle Ages, producing a sense of unreality about the Creator, religion and the Church. The need for a challenging attempt to argue that our very idea of God must be changed and brought up to date is now imminent. Various emerging factors in our contemporary life require a shift in our perception of God to make His reality central to our lives again. Chief among them is that the world is becoming less religious but more spiritual. People are no longer looking to time-honored Churches for spiritual nourishment. Their traditional practice ceased to be the way to commune with God and is gradually shifting to socializing rather than worshipping. Hopefully, this book serves as a compass to assist spiritual explorers in the Christian as well as other traditions to locate where they are on their journey.
