Ransom of the Healer A C Autry

Publisher Marketing: "She's one of us. She just doesn't know it yet." Catryn King has always been different. Her world was shaken at a young age when she lost both her mother and father in the same year. Left without parental influences as she entered into the world of adulthood and college, Cat chose to focus on her studies and her eventual career-shying away from close relationships. Then she met Nathan. Nathan leads Cat into a world she never knew existed-a world where supernatural abilities exist and the few who possess those abilities are faced with the choice of how to use them. Even amid all the strangeness, or maybe because of it, Cat begins to feel that maybe she isn't as alone as she once thought. Ransom of the Healer chronicles Cat's journey as she moves through grief into acceptance, and then into a strange and often confusing world where she must learn new rules. With Nathan at her side, can the two learn to trust each other enough to rediscover purpose in life? A. C. Autry explores the universal stories of love and redemption in an intriguing world not quite like our own- with believable superheroes and a fast-paced story that elegantly intertwines the supernatural and fantastical with the every day.
