M. O. Luke

Great Science Fiction Stories You've Never Read M. O. Luke

Cloning, sex with aliens, pirates with nuclear weapons, a mysterious metal egg with a very disturbing, yet hopeful message, and much much more fill the pages of this exciting compendium of science fiction stories appearing here for the very first time. The 15 original tales in this collection include a couple of little twisty horror tales, two accounts about aliens who have designs on our sun and the uniquely male methods of dealing with them, and of course a time travel adventure. Science fiction can pose profound questions and provide clever answers, and this collection is no exception. Uncle Robert?s Tale provides one solution to the really big question: was the universe made for man, or did God have something else in mind? Another conundrum: how to frighten a man who knows no fear? Handsome Harry thinks he knows. Just Before the Rocks Begin to Fall answers the question what if aliens set a test for humanity ? and we just ignored it. In another tale in Great SF Stories You?ve Never Read, ?Engineers? have purified our genes, and think they?ve made a heaven on earth. But not everyone agrees, and one man sets out to do something about it. One story, Second Coming, reflects the age-old contest between the devil and man, a contest that the devil almost always wins, but perhaps not this time! All these and more fill the pages of this unique collection of modern SF stories that have never previously appeared in print.
