Be careful what you pray for. When Tom Gallagher, a Catholic teenager who's only sin is inventing transgressions to confess to the priest, prays that he will stop stammering, he wakes the next morning to find his ums replaced by ain'ts and reckons. Thanks to the Good Lord's sense of humor, Tom loses two parttime jobs, learns how to lie and becomes part of the OE brotherhood, a group of four boys who spend their Friday nights finding ingenious ways to buy a fine spirit called Old Equinox 400. While the other boys try to thwart the Curse of the Severed Staff which prevents them from losing their virginity, Tom tries to find the courage to speak to beautiful, red-haired Autumn Turning. Realizing how much he will miss this special time, he finds a way to hold on to the past even as it slips away. So come on! I promise ya'll have a good laugh if nothin' else.
