Eighteen year old Katy Jones never knew what she was in for when she first meets a mysterious man at "The" party the day before Halloween. As she turns to head up the staircase, a hand grabs her belonging to another mysterious character, but this time it is a boy who has her heart fluttering in an instant, with every other normal woman in the room. When things start falling apart in Katy's world who other than the handsome stranger James ends up comforting her at more than one embarrassing time. Katy finds out secrets she never saw coming and is always up to a challenge no matter who tries to stop her. In the end who else is there like her and what are they? When these questions are answered she will eventually have to accept that this is what we are.
