Trainee Detective Constable Lauren Halshaw is investigating the disappearance of IT contractor Danny Grant when her occasional mentor, DI Allen Chase, finds a man?s body in the boot of a BMW at Heathrow. Both men worked at Bienstock Engineering Group, the largest employer in Radminster, Halshaw?s home town in Somerset. As Chase and Halshaw interview the families, friends, and co-workers of the two men, they learn about a long-running feud between two of Bienstock?s senior managers, and allegations of corruption and sexual harassment.
