Publisher Marketing: Volume III of The Diary will cover the last ten months of the 2012 campaign. The President is either successful in getting a second term or the demons who escaped from Cerberus will prevail. If the latter succeeds, God help America! This is the battle for the soul of America! We will either have an America that is, an America that "shall not perish from the earth" as Abraham Lincoln so eloquently pronounced in his Gettysburg Address. Or, we will have a desolate country that is 'of the corporation, by the lobbyists for the plutocrats', a country that after only 250 years will have devolved into the global abyss, into the historical scrap heap ... a shadow of its days of glory - A country that was propelled by its entrepreneurial vigor, by its creative work force, and its people centric polity. From Volume I, I am reminded of: ... the Matrix Trilogy with Keanu Reeves. Neo was 'The One' who arrived to save a dying Zion from the ravages of the machines. The former resilience of the American spirit, of the American character, of the American engine of change is starting to ossify; hardened by a political environment of uncooperative extremes that are unprepared to think about the overall good of the country. When we voted for 'Change' in 2008, wasn't Barack Hussein Obama going to be our Neo? Wasn't he going to rescue us from a fate where: ALL systems in government were damaged or broken. We were confronted with economic collapse, military exhaustion and international embarrassment. When you looked at the political horizon back then, hurricane clouds were forming. From my prejudiced perspective as an 'Obama Disciple', he has burnished our tarnished international reputation. He has valiantly fought and dismembered a dangerous terror network. We are getting out of Iraq at year's end. He brought the American and the global economy away from the brink of total collapse. He brought us health care and financial reform. He preached a gospel of unity. We can disagree without being disagreeable!
