Publisher Marketing: This book of poems has been published in order to raise funds to support Research into Liver Disease and Cure. I sincerely hope that you will find the poems meaningful and enjoyable. They have been written over a period of nearly twenty years but about a third of them since I had my transplant in March 2010. I had originally intended the poems for personal use and for friends and family. However when I was considering a way of raising funds I was persuaded by others that the poems were good enough to publish. It was also considered that it would be something different to the usual fund raising events and that donators would actually receive something for their contributions. A lot of people bypass poetry because it is very often obscure and complex, even several readings cannot reveal the meaning behind the text. I hope that you will find my poetry more accessible and to help with this I have included short 1 or 2 line introductions to some of the poems, at the back of the book. Doing this gives the reader the option to look at the introductions before reading the poems or after reading or not at all. The main thing is that at worst you will hopefully have the satisfaction of contributing to vital research and at best you will enjoy and get something out of the poems themselves.
