The Jews of Jesus' day looked for a Messiah coming down out of the sky in power. When God sent them a man, just like them, weak and without influence; they could not see the Kingdom. The Christians of today look for a Messiah coming down out of the sky in power. God sends them the weak, the lowly, the incapable. Which one is the Christ of God? The Kingdom Rising presents a view of the Kingdom of God rising up from beneath of us, catching us up into Love, a view little known in the church. When Jesus walked the path of the Atonement from Gethsemane to the Resurrection, was He doing something for us? Or does the gospel present us with a reality far more radical, a reality that turns everything upside down? What is man? God says that He created us in His image. It would seem only logical, then, that we can know what man is only by knowing God. How do we know God? Well - He sends us a man who says, "He who sees Me, sees God."
