Good-Bye to the Battlefields Naval & Military Press

Captain Taylor walks the battlefields of the Western Front 'as they are today (1928)', with good descriptions of the battlefields, relics and memorials during the inter-war period, along with 1920s photographs of towns and villages, cemeteries, memorials and battlefield areas during the period of post-war reconstruction.

With his reminiscences of events, that lend a real atmosphere, his memory and feet "follow our khaki-clad columns moving northward". This is definitely one book to add to your backpack when taking a pilgrimage to France.
