50 twist-in-the-tale short stories based on the format of fables (where human nature is illustrated by using non-human examples, as in Aesop's Fables) and parables (where human nature is illustrated by using all-too-human examples, as in The Bible's parables). Devoid of cultural and societal references, they help us explore the multiple layers of human nature unadorned and in the raw. They are extremely entertaining and highly intriguing but, if viewed on another level, deeply thoughtful and profoundly philosophical. It takes less than five minutes to read each story but, like all fables and parables, their simplicity hides many complicated human frailties and darkly complex secrets. There are no actual geographical locations or real historical periods mentioned and no character is identified by their race, politics, religion or colour. This allows any reader of any age from any community in any culture to examine each tale and arrive at their own conclusions without prejudice.
