Synergized Middle School Chemistry: Elements and Intereactions, Volume 2, (Red Cover) is the teacher's edition companion to the Synergized Middle School Chemistry Student Edition (Yellow Cover).  This book contains information about the SMSC curriculum and pedagogy as well provides extensive "Teacher Notes" for each lesson.  SMSC Volume 2 gives practical advice to teachers ranging from chemistry content refreshers to material preparation to literacy and assessment strategies. To help save time and money, SMSC investigations use safe and economical supplies found in supermarkets and discount stores. Post-assessments are provided for each lesson set.    The three, sequential lesson sets focus on the concepts associated with understanding the atom and its structure, the periodic table, physical and chemical changes, and an introduction to acids and bases.
