Remembering Gallucci's Gym is truly a portal to the past. It is a time machine that brings the reader back to a time of youth and innocence. It is a testimony to the 4,000 wonderful gym members whom I could never forget. There will never be another Gallucci's Gym; a Boy's Club full of fun, hard work, acceptance, camaraderie, belonging and where every person had value and worth. Each person achieved success and displayed a joy of life. Gallucci's Gym was family and the head of that family was Big Joey! The greatest legacy of Gallucci's Gym is not that we helped people to become stronger; nor that members had such intense interest over our annual gym photo; nor that people were so enthusiastic about our annual Mr. Gallucci's Gym contest. No, our greatest legacy was that we connected people together. Somehow, through the experiences at Gallucci's Gym, we became better people. We led better, happier lives! We had greater value and worth! We were all connected! I know that I am certainly a better person because of my myriad experiences with the many gym members whom I met at Gallucci's Gym. I would never trade a minute of either that experience or their friendships throughout the years! I'll always miss it!! The sounds; the smells; the homemade signs; the iron equipment; the people! I'll always miss dad! I'll always remember the faces and their stories... forever!!! Bob Gallucci
