When Beth Renner, secretary to deceitful Preacher Elroy Perkins, marries Officer Vince Powers, she believes heaven is just around the corner. However, when Vince becomes a suspect in a murder, she must go through hell to get there. The ensuing murder investigation tests the resolve of two female detectives as they pursue the killer. Meanwhile, a mega church is in the planning as Perkins and his cohort initiate a strategy to fleece members of the congregation.
