Stephanie Vuljanic-Lemke, an immigrant to the United States from a village in one of the poorest districts of Croatia fondly remembers the traditional Easter customs of her beloved homeland. Using her words, 14 folk paintings, 10 recipes and illustrated step-by-step instructions in the handicraft of making pisanica, the unique embroidered Easter eggs of her home district, Stephanie brings to life and allows you to participate in the Croatian Easter customs of her girlhood days in the 1950s.
