Creating the Dream
Mel Houghton
As a teenager, Mel Houghton was an internationally competitive swimmer, representing Australia at three World Championships. She also set several Australian Records and won multiple National Titles. She had the world at her feet, but, what most people don't know is that she suffered from depression from the age of 15 and developed Bulimia Nervosa at age 17. The disorders consumed her life and after several disappointing years she retired from competitive swimming at 20 years old. Thereafter, she spent 3 years healing herself. After which she thought her hardest days were over, however her journey to self discovery was only just beginning. This book is about Mel's journey to "Total Transformation" and includes all the strategies she used to heal her Bulimia, Depression and an Anxiety Disorder. She also shares her new philosophies and insights from introspection that she learnt along the way.
