PREFACE: My object in publishing this work is to make known my researches and discoveries. My research in history and gathering of relics for the past thirty years, by exploring the mounds, watching along the ditches, and carefully examining the old camp sites where the plow had turned out many interesting relics that have been buried for ages, reveal to me much of the past history of the Indians, who occupied this part of the country in prehistoric times, and I will endeavour to give that information to the public.......
