There has never been a better time to feel good about yourself, because no matter what anyone else feels about you, its how you feel about yourself that matters. When I first began writing this book, the two main characters were different than they turned out to be. As the story unfolded, they gained strengths and their weaknesses unfolded. They began to understand their vulnerabilities and started to draw on their experiences to get them through. Real life is not that much different. We all begin not really knowing ourselves, but then we get a few, subtle hints as we begin to age. As we continue to grow, we find ourselves finally coming to grips with who we have become, whether or not that is what we truly were to begin with. Boyer examines the very conscience of two people who thought they knew themselves, but discovered there was a lot about themselves to learn. At age 54, I am still discovering who I am. And I do not intend to stop exploring. I hope this story leads you down that road.
