The very mind needed to reason through all of this has turned into an electrifying mass of racing thoughts, unconnected thoughts, and frightening thoughts. For a split second a sliver of thought from a time when the mind was normal shoots across the brain: "Oh, God, please, help me." But the thought is gone as quickly as it came. The very soul is being eaten away as the mind becomes more and more of an enemy. Death sounds sweet. Yes death will make it all stop; let it come. After a little longer there is no way to keep up with the racing thoughts for they are faster than the enemy brain can keep up with. All that is left is an eerie sound of energy buzzing through the head ... The author invites the reader to journey with her through this hell and to celebrate the moment when precious sanity returns.
