Author Jesus Cruz was inspired by his very own puppy Mia, friends, and family members Peter, Whitney, Danniella, Elena, Lexie, and Eliana. "That feeling," Eli told him, "is called passion. "It happens before a special talent is learned." Peter paused and closed his eyes. He thought about the words Eli said. Somehow, he trusted her explanation. It felt like exactly what he'd been thinking in his heart. He knew that Eli was right. "Have you ever played the piano before?" Eli asked softly, interrupting Peter's thoughts.
