This book is primarily for preschool and elementary children. It illustrates ho children can work together as a group, play a part in planning and enjoying group exercises. Beginning as a disagreement between two varieties of birds about which can sing the best, they decide that it would be enjoyable and knowledgeable to have a contest to determine the best singer or singers of birds. The story progresses through the planning and preparation stages. All of the animals and birds are invited to observe the contest. To avoid bias animals are the judges to determine the winning bird or group of birds.
