Mitchell Becker cautiously steps back out into the world armed with only one year of sobriety and begins the process of repairing his demolished existence. His first mission on that day: to win back the heart of his beloved former wife, Jodi. Though reluctant to allow Mickey's insanity back into her life, she observes his incredible transformation and agrees to meet him again the following day. Charged by his first quest, he travels to Cartersville Cemetery where he visits his mother's gravesite. As Becker takes on the difficult task of asking forgiveness from the dead, he is not alone. A strange woman lurks the grounds and remains there until his departure. Had Mickey remained with his former wife, he may have prevented her murder. Instead, Mickey becomes the prime suspect. Although his key witness can't confirm his alibi or help him in the conventional sense, she offers him a solution no one ever thought possible.
